The Educational Services Division organized a discussion meeting on the Education and Research Scholarship Support Project in collaboration with the Office of the Welfare Promotion Commission for Teachers and Educational Personnel (OTEP). Under this initiative, OTEP provides research scholarships to the Graduate School for students in the Master of Education Program in Educational Administration and the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Educational Administration.

The meeting was chaired by

Associate Professor Dr. Komsan Somanawat, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, together with:

Assistant Professor Dr. Korkamon Chuchuay, Assistant to the President for Curriculum and Instructional Management

Assistant Professor Dr. Wanjak Noi-chan, Dean of the Graduate School

Associate Professor Dr. Nantiya Noi-chan,
Chair of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Educational Administration, Graduate School

Ms. Veerawan Chanpla, Director of the Educational Services Division and other related personnel.

The meeting was held at the Bannasom Meeting Room, Building 32, 4th Floor, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

The Education and Research Scholarship Support Project aims to promote and support welfare provisions, well-being, and other related benefits for teachers and educational personnel. It also seeks to foster unity and uphold the honor of the teaching profession, while supporting the Ministry of Education in areas such as teaching and learning media and research for organizational development. Providing education and research scholarships is therefore an important approach to enhancing teachers’ professional potential, generating new knowledge, and leading to the sustainable development of teacher welfare.

This project is also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education, as it supports curriculum development processes that enable teachers as learners to receive standardized education and acquire essential skills for real-world professional practice. This directly supports Target 4.4, which focuses on increasing the number of individuals with relevant technical and professional skills necessary for employment and the production of qualified graduates.

In addition, the project is consistent with SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, as providing scholarships to teachers allows those within the education system to pursue higher education. This enhances their professional capabilities in the teaching profession and better prepares them for participation in the labor market.

At the same time, the collaborative process between the Graduate School and the Office of the Welfare Promotion Commission for Teachers and Educational Personnel in improving and developing academic programs reflects alignment with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, which emphasizes building cooperative networks to achieve sustainable development outcomes. This is accomplished through coordination between university departments and experts from the Office of the Welfare Promotion Commission for Teachers and Educational Personnel, contributing to the improvement of the overall quality of education.

Through tangible outcomes and meaningful improvements in curriculum quality, the development of learners’ professional skills, and the university’s ability to produce graduates who meet the demands of the modern economy, this collaboration represents an important mechanism for sustainably enhancing the quality of higher education. It also serves as a strong example of institutional initiatives that create positive impacts on the education system and sustainable development.
